About Tailout Baits

Premium baits designed for selectively feeding fish.

Tailout Baits was built from learning things the hard way on the water. I’ve been fishing since a young age, spending the last 15 years targeting steelhead on the Niagara River. Over that time, I’ve fished just about every soft bait on the market—experimenting with different minnows, beads, rigging styles, and presentations.

Some didn’t drift naturally in current.
Some were difficult to rig properly.
Others lacked durability, realistic color, or the fine details that matter—like a clean profile, movement, proper sizing, and natural-looking eyes.

Every bait had its strengths, but none checked every box.

Why Natural Matters

What I kept coming back to was simple:
the more natural the bait, the better the results—especially in clear water and pressured conditions.

Tailout Baits is built around that idea.

These baits are designed to fish naturally, look realistic, and give anglers confidence when it matters most—whether you’re targeting steelhead, browns, lakers, salmon, bass, walleye, or panfish.

Because every angler knows the feeling of getting skunked.

When the water is clear and the fish are selective, it’s not just about getting your bait in front of them—it’s about giving them a reason to eat.

Tailout Baits are built to give you that edge—when it matters most.
